IS YOUR WHEELED BASE
AUSTRALIAN LEGAL ?
In Australia Paramotors are classified as "Powered Paragliders".
Therefore we must comply with CAO 95.8 and the HGFA Operations Manual
relating to "paragliders".
Wheeled bases flown in Australia must comply to the following basic requirements:
* The complete system (including motor) MUST weight less than 70kg.
* The paramotor and wheeled base MUST be "Optional & Removable" to
the paraglider wing and harness.
* The paraglider wing and harness used must be able to be flown,
"foot-launched", as a separate aircraft without the motor and wheeled base.
* The pilot seating system, therefore, must be a paraglider harness.
